Mechanical or pneumatic stroke functions are used exclusively for drilling in hard, solid building materials such as concrete, stone or full brick. The stroke must be absolutely off during drilling in wood, metal, plastics and brittle materials, such as ceramic tiles or hollows, to avoid damage.
